The Ultimate Farmer's Market Dessert

I love San Diego.  I love that we have such great access to healthy, locally grown food. There's nothing like strapping the baby on your back and getting out to one of the wonderful outdoor farmers markets that we have.  Our kids love the samples that are offered.  The vibe is always family friendly. Enjoy the cool ocean breezes and feel good about feeding your family healthy food that supports our local farmers.

For a Killer summer recipe, try these yummy Grilled Peaches With Honey and Yogurt from Skinny taste.com

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium ripe peaches, cut in half (pit removed)
  • 1/2 cup honey flavored fat free organic Greek yogurt
  • 4 tbsp honey (Make this baby friendly by skipping the honey for babies under 1 and blending or smashing, leave out cinnamon)
  • cinnamon (to taste)
Directions:

Place peaches cut side down on the grill. Grill on low or indirect heat until soft, about 2-4 minutes on each side.

Combine yogurt and cinnamon. Pour 1 tbsp yogurt over each peach half. Drizzle with honey and enjoy.
